Architect Panel

The Architect Panel is the core of the world building side of things. It allows you to add and modify all the objects in the zone.
In order to add objects to the zone, you must first ensure you have the architect panel open. It will be automatically opened when first starting the engine and loading a zone. You are then presented with various buttons, each explained below:

Component Description
Place Audio Object Enter Audio Placement Mode: Allows you to place a sound source in the zone.
Place Camera Object Enter Camera Placement Mode: Allows you to place a camera in the zone.
Place Emitter Object Enter Emitter Placement Mode: Allows you to place an emitter in the zone.
Place Light Object Enter Light Placement Mode: Allows you to place a light source in the zone.
Place Model Object Enter Model Placement Mode: Allows you to place a 3D model in the zone.
Place Reflection Probe Object Enter Reflection Probe Placement Mode: Allows you to place a reflection probe in the zone.
Place Target Object Enter Target Placement Mode: Allows you to place a target in the zone.
Place Trigger Object Enter Trigger Placement Mode: Allows you to place a trigger in the zone
Place Waypoint Object Enter Waypoint Placement Mode: Allows you to place a waypoint in the zone (Holding the Shift Key while placing waypoints will create a new path simultaneously).

Upon pressing any of these buttons you will be presented with a new set of options which you can adjust depending on how you want your placement to behave. Once all settings have been selected, simply right-click within the scene to start placing objects.

Component Description
Object Description This line of text will automatically fill itself with information such as a model path so you know what object you have selected.
Browse When placing a model object into the zone the browse button will become enabled. By pressing it, a file dialog will appear where you can select the model you want to place in the zone from the Project Meshes folder. Selecting a model from outside of this directory will not work, see here for further details.

When placing an audio object into the zone the browse button will become enabled. By pressing it, a file dialog will appear where you can select the audio file you want to place in the zone from the Project Audio Folder. Selecting an audio file from outside of this directory will not work, see here for further details.
Align to Ground When placing objects on a piece of terrain it is possible to align it to the ground of the terrain it is placed on. This allows for quick rotations so you don’t end up with the common problem where objects are partially floating off the side of a bump or hill.
Y Pos Modifier This setting allows you to add an offset in the Y axis when placing objects, the value set here will be added to the Y position of the object after it has been placed. This can accelerate the process of when you want to place objects slightly below the terrain or if you want to place something like a lamp slightly higher in the air.
Filter This setting allows you to automatically sort the object being placed into a pre-created filter in the Hierarchy.
